Second Annual Veterans Day Planting 2018

On November 10, 2018, over 60 volunteers came out to Druid Hill Park to add 42 trees to the flowering tree trail we started last year. Twenty-one of the volunteers were part of our first tree planting last November This tree trail takes advantage of the existing trees north of the Druid Hill Park reservoir, linking the tennis courts to the Rawlings Conservatory with a trail of flowering trees which will have one species or another blossoming from the end of March through July.

Thanks to all of our volunteers, both new and old, for coming out on a chilly morning to help us.

Large groves of flowering and shade trees will expand beyond the path for those who want to linger amidst the colors and scents, to slow down, rest and picnic, play, or daydream.
