Herring Run Park Initiative
Mid-Herring Run Parks Trail Native Trees & Neighborhood Engagement Project, Phase One
This project aims to increase tree canopy along the Herring Run Trail and take care of existing trees to improve wildlife habitat and park aesthetics. Residents of the surrounding Belair-Edison, Parkside, Frankford and other neighborhoods are invited to participate in free classes and park programs to encourage park stewardship and enjoyment.
The Flowering Tree Trails is partnering with the Friends of Herring Run Parks, Belair-Edison Neighborhoods, Inc., Department of Recreation and Parks’ Forestry Division, TreeBaltimore, and the Baltimore-Kawasaki Sister City Committee to bring exciting improvements to Herring Run Park.

Woodberry Community Association Planting on the Jones Falls Trail

3rd Annual Veterans Day Tree Planting in Druid Hill Park
This tree planting brings out the best in Baltimore. Make this year as good as the first two and help us honor our Veterans by doing something good for the long-term health of our city. This fall the TreeKeeper Classes will be held near Herring Run Park. Register for all three classes and join a great group of tree lovers!
